Via ferratas

In recent years, numerous via ferratas have been built in and around Mayrhofen. Four of them are located directly next to the village - easy, medium, difficult, and a via ferrata for children aged 5-6. This guarantees fun for the whole family. Each via ferrata has an emergency exit approximately halfway up in case one's strength runs out. The via ferratas in Mayrhofen can be reached on foot or by car from our apartments. There are also two more via ferratas in Zell am Ziller and a very difficult one in Ginzling.

Unlike the "original" via ferratas in the Dolomites, the via ferratas in Mayrhofen and the surrounding area are a kind of new generation - sport via ferratas - an individual sport or some describe it as a workout. The necessary equipment can be rented directly at the foot of the entry points. There, you can also find rules of conduct and topographic maps of the via ferrata routes.

All of the via ferratas in Mayrhofen end at the Zimmereben mountain hut, where you can enjoy the magnificent view of the mountains on the terrace and reward yourself with a well-deserved drink and good food.
