All ski resorts around Mayrhofen build top-notch snowboard and freestyle snow parks. Built by professionals, these parks promise fun for both beginners and experienced boarders. The parks are now famous all over the world - Penken Park directly in the Mayrhofen ski area or the Betterpark in Hintertux and Hochzillertal are just a few of them. Annual competitions also attract thousands of snowboarders to this popular holiday region.

Snowboarding in the Zillertal Alps off-piste is just as cool. Vast areas of the Zillertal mountains are left in their natural state without cable cars and other lift aids. Some of these areas can be reached from the ski resorts, while others can only be reached on foot.
